HVO Community Grants Program supports 14 more projects

Hunter Valley Operations has awarded approximately $52,000 in its latest round of community grants, continuing HVO’s long-standing commitment to supporting initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes for communities across the Hunter region.
Since 2018, HVO has invested more than $760,000 into over 130 community initiatives. On top of this, its Truck Tray charity partners are set to receive a combined total of approximately $40,000 in early 2026, taking HVO’s overall contribution to more than $800,000.
The second round of HVO’s community grants program for 2025 will help 14 not-for-profit organisations deliver projects that range from sporting development and youth engagement to cultural wellbeing and community support programs.
Round 2 2025 HVO Community Grants recipients:
- Piranhas Cricket Club – Bowling machine and iPad to support training and livestream games
- Singleton Theatrical Society – 2026 production of The Boy from Oz
- Netball Singleton – Coach and umpire education, plus marquees for sun safety
- Samaritans Foundation Diocese of Newcastle – Christmas lunch for people experiencing homelessness
- Mount View High School (Cessnock) – Awards and gifts to recognise student achievement and progress
- Hunter Valley Group 21 Rugby League Referees Association – Training uniforms and coaching support for female referees
- Maitland Rugby Union Club – Under-15s team uniforms to reduce financial barriers and support participation
- talk2mebro – Knees in the Breeze memorial ride raising awareness of suicide prevention
- Marrung-ta Ab Corporation – 3 day cultural wellbeing camps for Indigenous women
- Singleton Fire Brigade Social Club – Singleton Lolly Run bringing festive cheer to local families
- Kiray Putjung Aboriginal Corporation – Literacy and numeracy classes for the local community and families
- Singleton Community Garden – Upgrade and repair of tools and plants to maintain and enhance the garden
- WRHS – Annual Joe Slupik Charity Golf Day supporting the Westpac Rescue Helicopter
- Variety – 2025 Variety Postie Dash, raising funds to help children living with sickness, disadvantage or disability
These grants reflect HVO’s ongoing commitment to nurturing community capacity, supporting local wellbeing and providing opportunities for all residents to engage, learn and thrive.
