Hunter Valley Operations marked its Painted Truck Tray partnership in 2025 by delivering two iPad minis to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) base in Belmont. Environment and Community Superintendent Brenton Hubert and Emergency Response Coordinator Andrew Porters toured the hangar, met the pilots and paramedics, and saw firsthand how this tech upgrade will streamline lifesaving missions.

“It was great to see the capabilities of the machines and what the crew can do,” Andrew said. “It’s rewarding to see that HVO is directly supporting this community resource by donating mission critical items.”
The donation includes two iPad minis complete with Apple Pencil and Smart Folio, providing vital tools for flight planning, patient record-keeping and in-flight communications. “Having real-time access to mission details means the WRHS team can focus on the rescue,” Andrew noted. “This isn’t just a gadget; it’s a game-changer for community safety.”
“Supporting WRHS is an investment in our community’s safety net, ensuring critical care reaches those in need – wherever they are,” Brenton said. “It’s great to see the positive impact of our funding on technology upgrades, and how these improvements are being applied in day-to-day field operations.”
Since launching the Painted Truck Tray program, HVO has sought partnerships that deliver tangible benefits. “Our support for WRHS goes beyond decals – it’s about building capability on the ground,” Brenton added. “We’re proud to back a service that’s indispensable to regional communities.”
